Welcome to Being Gay is Okay
bgiok is about practical advice and information about homosexuality, and cutting through the stereotypes and negativity around it. bgiok aims to help young people feel better about their sexuality and about the person they are beyond that.
Offering accessible and informative content that tackles the issues that visitors tend to be most concerned about, like coming out, religion and homophobic bullying. Everything here is unique to the site, so you won't find it anywhere else.
Being gay doesn't mean that you are a freak or a bad person or that you've done something wrong. Being gay doesn't mean being alone.
bgiok is a non-profit project run entirely by volunteers from the LGBT support charity Outline.
Outline is a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 1080970).
Outline owns and operates the website www.bgiok.org (the “Website”). The Website was founded, as a non-for-profit project, by Jason Mitchell in 2000 and gifted to Outline on 1 April 2016. Outline did not create, and has not reviewed for accuracy, the Website content including (without limitation) advice to Website users.
